GATHERER

Gatherer is an addon for herbalists, miners and treasure hunters in World of Warcraft. It's main purpose is to track the closest plants, deposits and treasure locations on your minimap.

Features: The addon does not track like a tracking ability does, rather it "remembers" where you have found various items in the past. It does this whenever you gather (perform herbalism, mining or opening) on an item, and records the specific map location in its history. From then on, whenever the item comes into range of being one of the closest 1-25 (configurable) items to your present location, it will pop up on you minimap.

When you view your World Map, you will also see the item locations marked on the particular map you are viewing there.

AUCTIONEER

Auctioneer is an addon that allows you to view information about an item that may be useful in helping you determine what it's worth.

Features: Auctioneer can help you alleviate this lack of market knowledge over time by watching the market evolve. When you go to the auction house for the first time after installing auctioneer, you will see a new button marked "Scan" at the bottom of the Auction window's browse pane. Clicking on this button will put the Auction window into an automatic scanning process which will look at the current market snapshot and record statistical data about the prices and quantities of items at the auction house.

ENCHANTRIX

This plugin provides you with in-game data on what a particular item will disenchant into were you to disenchant it.

Features: It comes with a reasonably large (user supplied) prebuilt database of disenchants, plus it will collate any disenchants you do while it is loaded into the mix.

OMEN THREAT METER

Omen is a threat meter.

Features: Enemies in WoW decide who to attack by deciding who is the most threatening based on the abilities you use. What Omen attempts to do is provide reasonably accurate estimates of your group's relative threat level on individual enemies, so that you can see when you're in danger of pulling aggro (or, if you're next on the snack list if your tank bites it). This info is usually only critical in raids, where only tanks can survive aggro, but it's useful for any multi-player situation.

Auctioneer is also very nice. Enchantrix if you are an enchanter.

I just tried out Enchantrix...it's pretty damn nice.

I am currently testing out about 10-20 Addons for both solo questing and the guild...I'll post them next week once I have a formal opinion...so that you may download at your leisure.
